Every migrant worker has rights, and knowing them is the first step to protecting yourself. A fair recruitment process starts with a clear, written contract that states your job title, salary, working hours and benefits.
You are entitled to receive your agreed salary on time, safe accommodation and transport where promised, and access to medical care. Your passport is yours — reputable employers follow the law of the destination country regarding document handling.
If you face any issue abroad, keep records, contact your recruitment agency, and reach out to the nearest Nepali embassy or labour attaché. Ethical agencies stay with their workers before, during and after deployment.
